WatchKeeper is pleased to announce that we have joined ARISE, the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE).
ARISE is a global network of public and private sector organisations that build global resilience to disaster events. Led by the UNDRR, and with hundreds of global members, ARISE fosters innovation, knowledge sharing and partnerships to help reduce the impact of global disasters.ARISE’s mission is “to create risk-resilient societies by energising the private sector in collaboration with the public sector and other stakeholders to achieve the outcome and goal of the Sendai Framework in a transparent and inclusive way that delivers local and measurable impact.”
Daniel Whatmuff, Co-Founder and CTO at WatchKeeper, said “We look forward to working with the UNDRR ARISE network to help build organisations’ and society’s resilience to disaster events.”
WatchKeeper joins ARISE only weeks after launching a new critical event management software that is already helping protect thousands of people and assets across the world from disaster events.
Upon joining ARISE, Paola Albrito, Chief of Branch for Intergovernmental processes, Interagency cooperation and Partnerships at the UNDRR, said that WatchKeeper’s “knowledge [and] experience ... will bring an invaluable perspective to ARISE and the global disaster risk reduction community.”
With record numbers of disaster events in 2020, WatchKeeper looks forward to working alongside the UNDRR ARISE network in order to help build more disaster-resilient businesses and communities around the world. The WatchKeeper team believe that by making its critical event management solution accessible to everyone, we can build a safer society.
